Your Data & Deletion

For Gimbal: ADHD Test & Focus · Last updated: September 12, 2026
In one paragraph

Gimbal has no account and no server of ours behind it, so there is no profile anywhere to delete. Everything you create lives in a database on your device. Settings → delete all data erases it, and uninstalling the app removes it with the app. The only record that exists outside your phone is a purchase receipt, and section 5 explains how to have that deleted too.

1. Everything Gimbal keeps, and where

There is no row for "our servers", because there is no such row. We never receive the contents of the first six.

2. Delete everything from inside the app

Open Settings and choose the option to delete all data. It erases every answer, test result, note, task, project, session and check‑in from the device's database. The deletion is immediate and permanent: there is no copy anywhere, so it cannot be undone, not even by us.

If you only want to remove part of it — a single task, project or note — delete that item in the app instead.

3. Uninstalling

Removing Gimbal deletes the app's private storage, and the local database with it. On iOS, use Delete App rather than Offload App: offloading intentionally keeps the data so it returns if you reinstall.

Uninstalling does not cancel an active subscription — cancel that in your store account first. See the Terms of Use, section 5.3.

4. Device backups — the copy people forget

If your phone backs itself up, the backup may include Gimbal's database. That copy belongs to you and sits in your Apple or Google account, not with us, but it does mean deleting the app is not always the end of the story.

iOS — keep Gimbal out of backups: Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Backups → select this iPhone → turn Gimbal off. To remove existing copies, delete the backup itself from the same screen.

Android — keep Gimbal out of backups: Settings → Google → Backup, where you can turn off app data backup, or manage per‑app data in Google One → Storage → Device backups. Deleting the device backup removes the copy.

Computer backups: a Finder, iTunes or vendor‑tool backup of your phone may also contain the database. Delete the backup file to remove it.

The same mechanism works in your favour when you switch phones: restore the new device from a backup and your Gimbal history comes with it.

5. Purchase records

If you bought Gimbal Pro, a receipt exists at Apple or Google and an entitlement record exists at RevenueCat, tied to an anonymous identifier the app generated — not to your name or email address. To have the RevenueCat record deleted, email contact@muzo.dev with "Gimbal data deletion" in the subject and tell us:

We will locate the record and delete it within 30 days, and confirm when it is done. Two consequences worth knowing before you ask:

6. There is no account to delete

Google Play and Apple both ask apps that create accounts to offer a way to delete them. Gimbal never creates one: no sign‑up, no email address, no password, no user profile on any server we run. That is why this page describes device‑side deletion instead of an account deletion form — there is nothing else to remove.

7. Taking your data with you

Where the app offers an export or share option for a result or a history view, the file it produces is yours: it is created on the device and goes wherever you send it. Once you share it, it is outside Gimbal's control and this policy no longer governs it — be deliberate about where results like these end up.

8. Making a request

Email contact@muzo.dev. We acknowledge within 3 business days and complete data requests within 30 days, free of charge. We will not ask you for more identifying information than the request needs — in most cases the store and approximate purchase date are enough.

Your full rights, and the law behind them, are set out in the Privacy Policy, section 11.

Because nothing is stored on our side, deletion here is truly final. Export or write down anything you want to keep — a four‑week comparison you care about, for example — before you erase it.
